Chorizo is BACK! ~Chorizo Hash Recipe~

Ok, so we had some chorizo sausage made out of our pork a while back thinking it would be a cool thing to try. We thought we might have a few customers who would like it. We completely underestimated how well it would go over. Everyone LOVES it and it is now one of our more popular products. The flavor is amazing and it is so versatile; I love hearing about all the ways our customers have used it.

Spring Creek Meat's Chorizo Sausage

So what is chorizo? The chorizo you'll find in our farm store is Mexican style- seasoned with vinegar and chili peppers. It starts with our fresh ground pork and just evolves from there. It has just enough spice to create a perfect burst of flavor, but isn't overwhelmingly spicy. The chorizo is fresh, meaning that it isn't cooked or smoked prior to being packaged and needs to be cooked thoroughly.


We love the versatility and options we have with chorizo in the kitchen! We've had chorizo and eggs, chorizo buritos, chorizo with rice and veggies, and one of our favorites: chorizo hash! It makes for a perfect meal at any time of day.
